Word families are groups of words that have a common feature or pattern – they have some of the same combinations of letters in them and a similar sound.
Examples of Word Family:
1. ab family - cab, dab, lab, tab, grab
2. ad family - bad, had, pad, dad, lad, sad
3. ag family - bag, lag, rag, sag, nag, gag
4. am family - dam,jam, ram, ham, Pam, Sam
5. an family - ban, can, man, ran, van
6. at family - bat, sat, cat, mat, chat, rat
