What are Initial Consonant Blend?
An initial consonant blend is a team of two consonant letters working together. Both letter sounds are heard in sounding out the team.
Example—the b and l are blended together when sounding out the word--black. ( black. blame. blank. blast. bleed. blend. blind. block. bloom. blow)
Example - the g and r are blended together when sounding the word green. (grow, grip, grass)
