What is a Verb?

A verb is a doing word. It can expresses action or state of being. 

• Physical Action ( e.g. , to swim, to write, to climb).
• I swim every Sunday.
• The children go to school every day.
• Mental Action ( e.g., to think, to guess, to consider)
• I think she likes me. 
• She considers enrolling in a violin class. 
• State of being (e.g. to be, to exist, to appear). 
• She is very tired. 
• They seem very happy today.
